DJM Accounting Pty Ltd commenced trading on the 1st of February 2008 with David McLachlan at the helm. The main reason for the establishment of the new accounting firm was that David needed a new challenge. After 13 years with one employer he could see a few things that he would do differently.

DJM Accounting follows the theory that regardless of whether you are a small client, large business or anywhere in between you deserve the best professional and personalised service available, and that’s what we aim to provide. David believes that the most efficient way to provide good service to clients is the clients to get to know him, as well as getting to know the clients, on a one to one basis. “It’s the only way to build a good working relationship. It works both ways, the clients won’t trust you if they know nothing about you.” We believe that it’s not possible to provide specific advice to a client unless we have at the very least done part of the hands on work.

As a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia we are governed by their ethical standard guidelines. However, we believe these to be the minimum acceptable standard and always aim to far exceed them.
