Fees

Ordinarily, we bill our clients on a per service basis. We attempt to tailor our fees to the needs of the client. Many of existing clients prefer to receive one annual bill, which we can accommodate, or alternatively we can bill more often.

Historically, accountants in general have operated on the basis of charge rates and timesheets. Here at DJM Accounting we don’t see that as the most efficient way of doing business. We ask our clients to let us know the services they believe they require so that we are no providing them with services they don’t want or need. However, if we see something that needs to be brought to the client’s attention we certainly do so.

Fixed fee billing

To give our client’s more certainty we are increasingly moving towards quarterly fixed fee arrangements. These arrangements are normally billed on the last day of each quarter with an agreed price, and reviewed on an annual basis.

Arrangements

Whilst we try to be flexible with our fees and arrangements we do also have to manage our own cashflow. To assist our clients we are able to offer fee funding arrangements through a company called Premium Funding Pty Ltd. Premium Funding offers arrangements allowing monthly payments for a period up to 12 months, and they pay us directly, allowing us to continue working in our client’s best interests.
